How do I add IncidentFox to my Slack workspace?
Click the "Add to Slack" button on our homepage or visit slack.incidentfox.ai/slack/install. You'll be guided through Slack's OAuth flow to authorize the app. Once installed, you can @mention IncidentFox in any channel to start investigating.
What permissions does IncidentFox need?
IncidentFox requests Slack permissions to read and search messages across channels it has access to—this allows the agent to find relevant context during investigations (like past discussions, related incidents, or deployment announcements) so you don't have to manually search. For observability integrations (Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.), you'll configure read-only API credentials separately. We never request write access to your production systems.
IncidentFox isn't responding to my messages
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure you're @mentioning IncidentFox (not just typing the name)
- Check that IncidentFox has been added to the channel
- Verify the app is still installed in your workspace (Settings > Manage Apps)
- Try in a different channel to rule out channel-specific permissions
If issues persist, email us at jimmy@incidentfox.ai.
How do I connect my observability tools?
IncidentFox supports Coralogix, Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and more. Check our documentation for step-by-step integration guides. Most integrations require a read-only API key that you configure in your team settings.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We never use your data to train AI models. You control your data—uninstall anytime to remove it, or email us for immediate deletion. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I uninstall IncidentFox?
Go to your Slack workspace settings, navigate to "Manage Apps", find IncidentFox, and click "Remove". Your data will be deleted according to our retention policy. If you'd like us to immediately delete all your data, email jimmy@incidentfox.ai.
